The Difference between Longboards and Skateboards

A lot of people are confused between longboards and skate boards just because they are both used for stunts and competitions. However, long boards are usually shaped differently. It is more similar to the shape of the surfboard than a skateboard and this is the reason why it is used more in places with hills and small mountains. Longboards are also used sometimes in dancing or as a part of a dancing stunt. It would be extremely difficult to incorporate skateboards into a dance although it has been done before.

Do remember though that long boards and skateboards are still being used in different competitions and exhibits. This is the reason why there are so many companies making different designs and types. Longboards have different kinds such as pin tails and flat-nose riders. The way these long boards will move are different. Some people prefer some kinds over the others.

Skateboards are more popular than long boards. Those who would like to learn how to make stunts usually use skateboards first. There are different sizes of skateboards though. Some are smaller than usual because smaller skateboards can be used by kids. There are some personalized and customized skateboards too that can enable the user to move more freely.

One of the reasons why people collect skateboards is because there are so many skateboards with different designs. Some people like collecting the different designs. However, skateboards tend to be expensive and so not everyone can afford it. Some people would rather buy second hand skateboards but most of the time, second hand ones have already been scratched all over the place. It would always be best to consider what are your reasons for purchasing your own board so that you can already prepare just how much you would need to save in order to buy your own board.

Always remember that there are different brands that are selling different types of long boards and skateboards. You can always check on the internet if that brand is selling quality merchandise that you can use for a long time. Sometimes it doesn’t matter so much anymore just how much the boards cost if it would last for a long time. There are some cheap ones that may look cute but will only cause danger to the user. It wouldn’t be possible to use a cheap board while trying to complete dangerous stunts right? Quality is still the first thing that you should look for whether you are looking for a skateboard or a long board.

The Three Best Longboards We’ve Ever Tried

There comes a time that anyone that writes a review site will have to put out a top ten list. It is practically inevitable in today’s media. Yes, you may not agree with what we think but hey, everyone’s own setup is better than everyone else, right? So just bear with us for the moment and check out our small list (we promise that next time we will try to come up with a TOP TEN!) and let us know what you think about what we think!

We Are Excited About the 2011 Shopping Season!

Well how fast did that year go? It went very fast. And our first year anniversary came and went with a whimper. This is how it is when you are a small venture and not really an up and coming group. We are totally unlike all those other startups that get featured on TechCrunch and Mashable. We are still operating under the radar. We are making a very small profit that is enough to cover costs but we are nowhere near a million dollars.

Trails and Longboards

It’s a rainy day today where I am and I have nothing better to do than to look at the news articles and opinion columns that are cropping up all over the world for this morning. One of the more interesting columns I have read today, which is more in line with the topic of this site, is whether or not bikes or longboards should be banned on hiking trails and other similar venues.
